Plot Summary:The Newlyn School of artists flourished at the beginning of the 20th Century and the film focuses on the wild and bohemian Lamorna Group, which included Alfred Munnings and Laura and Harold Knight. The incendiary anti-Modernist Munnings, now regarded as one of Britain's most sought-after artists, is at the centre of the complex love triangle, involving aspiring artist Florence Carter-Wood and Gilbert Evans, the land agent in charge of the Lamorna Valley estate. True - and deeply moving - the story is played out against the timeless beauty of the Cornish coast, in the approaching shadow of The Great War.

乍一看女主角长了一张中年妇女的脸，多看几次觉得脸熟，原来是当年美少女特攻队里的babydolly，怎么差距这么大。电影里风景很漂亮，配乐优美，剧情有点闹心。女主角有个没什么必要的撸猫镜头
真的没看懂。
一个女孩游离在两个男人中间，当她选择了一个后，发现选择的那个并不好，然后又和另一个纠缠在一起，最终女孩的下场也就可以想象了。故事很一般，但是风景很美。
电影一上来就看得出不是原创剧本，那种压抑深沉的情绪必然是要有英文小说做铺垫的，这才是英格兰，也只有英格兰，无论是傲慢抑或敏感。
整个片子都晕在一片不自然的光中。就像不作就不会死的女主角。

有些片断带着点《呼啸山庄》的味道，但是剧情和女主都太弱了
配乐和摄影不错，不过人物关系实在太乱了，又交待不清，后半部分有种全崩了的感觉。
Dan Stevens离开唐顿的一滩狗血也不过就演了另一滩狗血而已（没错我就是因爱生恨）。Emily Browning的复古扮相真是很美。英国今年现在分明是winter in June...
