Plot Summary:In Canada, a writer visits the Indian storyteller Pi Patel and asks him to tell his life story. Pi tells the story of his childhood in Pondicherry, India, and the origin of his nickname. One day, his father, a zoo owner, explains that the municipality is no longer supporting the zoo and he has hence decided to move to Canada, where the animals the family owns would also be sold. They board on a Japanese cargo ship with the animals and out of the blue, there is a storm, followed by a shipwrecking. Pi survives in a lifeboat with a zebra, an orangutan, a hyena and a male Bengal tiger nicknamed Richard Parker. They are adrift in the Pacific Ocean, with aggressive hyena and Richard Parker getting hungry. Pi needs to find a way to survive.

观看的时候感觉很无聊，但看解析的时候觉得非常精彩。 不愧是李安。

以前看奇幻，现在看吃人？
视觉上好震撼，结尾的反转出乎意料。第一个故事如此不可思议，信仰的确立、失去和放下、好好告别；第二个故事将全片推向新的高度，在奇迹中才能证明神的存在吗，人性和兽性斗争；也许还有第三个故事，更加残酷。在每个故事里船都沉了、派都历经磨难，最后回归正常生活，奇幻的漂流…
看完第一天：好玄幻；看完第360天:细思极恐但真实。李安 np。
