Drama series about a team of forensic pathologists.Ten years earlier Nikki helped jail married Tony Hamilton for the attempted murder of his pregnant girlfriend Suzie Banks. Now she and the team are called in when cancer sufferer Max Walsh apparently commits suicide in his bath though Nikki believes he was murdered, along with another cancer victim Irene Dawes, who died in the same way three months earlier. She confides in former colleague Scott King that somebody is trying to discredit her and that an intruder has been in her flat. Evidence suggests this was an old adversary Belinda Roach, who opposed Nikki's testimony in the Hamilton case, but when Nikki visits Belinda she claims that she has been framed and is then killed. At the same time Hamilton, whose young daughter died whilst he was in prison, gets an unwelcome visit from ex-cell-mate Carmichael.
